SAVE ENERGY! Why heat the entire building whan all you want to do is provide warmth for your birds. Radiant heaters heat animals, birds, people, objects not the air around them. What is radiant heat? The sun is an example of a radiant heater. It radiates infared heat waves through space until these rays strike an object, such as the planet Earth. The Earth is warmed by the sun's infrared waves. The warmed Earth then gives off heat to heat the air. This brooder works on the same principal. It warms objects under it and the object gives off heat to warm the air. This high quality commercial grade brooder has a built-in solid-state automatic temperature sensing control. The sensor is suspended below the unit near the chicks to "feel" what the chicks feels. This unit will warm approx; in northern states 240 chicks, 140 turkey poults, 200 pheasants/quail, 12 Ratites in middle states 300 chicks, 180 turkey poults, 260 pheasants/quail, 14 Ratites in southern states 360 chicks, 220 turkey poults, 320 pheasants/quail, 16 Ratites. Comes with a 6 foot cord. 800 watts, 120 volts, 6.7 amps, 35"x6"x6", 8 lbs.
SINGLE BULB BROODER
It has a clear plastic front panel that allows easy viewing of the interior. Each brooder comes with 3 28.5" troughs for feed or
water mounted on outside of brooder. The 250 watt heater provides heat while the vented plastic side panels keep out drafts. It has a socket for a low wattage attraction bulb. Each comes with a
thermometer and water thermostat, which is accurate to 1 degree. The floor is
½" mesh which allows droppings to pass through. For quail or small chicks use the DACB paper for 4 to 7 days. Drop pans are made of lightweight aluminum and can be pulled out even when brooders are stacked and the wire floor is heavy with birds. This box brooder is universal as each side panel comes with adjustable gate to regulate openings for chick type and age to allow them access to feed and water. For the first 3 weeks quail chicks should use the 4YQW waterer and the 4GGF1 feeder. Day-old poultry and ducks can feed directly from the troughs. All 3 side panels and back door are easily removed for cleaning while the brooder is assembled. (TEMPERATURE RANGE IS 75 – 115 degrees, must be located in a heated space to maintain these temperatures.) Capacity to 4th week 100 quail - 50 Chukar or Pheasants - 48 chickens (these capacities vary with breed and size). Shipped in 2 cartons. Overall dimensions 32”w X 38”d X 12”h.
